Fueling the Future: Acceler8 and ENEOS Oil Partner to Empower the Next Generation of Techs

In the world of high-performance racing, ENEOS Motor Oil is considered the "Original JDM Motor Oil." As Japan’s largest oil company, its lubricants are specified by the majority of Asian car manufacturers in their vehicles at the factory. ENEOS is also trusted by the elite motorsport teams, from F1 and NASCAR to IndyCar, MotoGP, rallycross, and so much more. In Formula DRIFT, ENEOS has been a sponsor of numerous teams and the series itself. It continues to sponsor three-time FD PRO Champion Fredric Aasbo and Papadakis Racing, using the series to both help develop its lubricants and prove the superior protection they provide under the harshest conditions.

Knowing this, the team at Acceler8 is delighted to announce a landmark partnership with ENEOS. This collaboration isn’t just about sponsorship; it’s about a shared mission to provide the resources, lubricants, and technical education necessary to "jump-start" the careers of young enthusiasts ages 14–24.

The Mission: Beyond the Oil Change

The automotive industry is evolving rapidly, creating an increasing demand for skilled technicians who understand both traditional mechanical systems and the high-tech, precision lubricants that keep them running.

"Partnering with ENEOS allows us to bring a higher level of technical sophistication to our curriculum," said Acceler8 founder Charles "Woody" Woodruff. "Our students get to work with the same high-performance products used by professional racing teams, giving them confidence they’re learning at the highest industry standard."

What This Means for Students

Through this partnership, Acceler8 students will gain access to:

  • ENEOS Technical Training: Direct insights into lubrication science—crucial for the longevity and performance of engine and transmissions.

  • Enhanced Shop Resources: Premium ENEOS products will be used during our hands-on workshops, ensuring students are utilizing the best products available.

  • Career Pathways: Exposure to the global ENEOS network of garages and partners, opening doors for internships and entry-level placements.

A New Home in DTLA

The timing of this partnership couldn't be better as Acceler8 settles into its new, permanent home in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles. During this transition, the ENEOS collaboration will serve as a pillar for our 2026 expansion. Together, we are creating a hub where passion for car culture meets professional workforce development.
